Project Details –Slifco Electric was selected by Stenco Construction Company, LLC to provide all electrical contracting services for the renovation of Ford Motor Company’s historic Dearborn Inn. The Dearborn Inn, which is operated by Marriott Hotels, required substantial upgrades to existing facilities to remain competitive. The project was especially challenging because Marriott required all electrical contracting work to be performed while the hotel remained open and fully functional. Special precautions were enacted to eliminate sound and dust while electrical upgrades and new installations were performed. In addition, Slifco Electric designed a work plan, that broke the project into seven separate phases to maximize available hotel rooms and guest services, while simultaneously minimizing hotel operations and service disruptions. Phase 2 of the project included a complete upgrade of fire alarms for the historic colonial homes adjacent to the main hotel building.
